Mackenzie Makepeace is the Development Director at The Max Collaborative, where she’s responsible for leading development projects and supporting the chief development officer in building internal capabilities. Previously, Mackenzie was the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Market Research for Forest City Realty Trust. She’s worked with members of the Ratner family for over 10 years between her roles at Forest City and The Max Collaborative.
Mackenzie earned her B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University. She is the chair of YLG/NEXT for The Urban Land Institute—Americas, a vice chair of ULI’s Commercial Retail Development Council (Blue Flight), and the governance chair of ULI Cleveland.
Mackenzie, her husband, and their daughter live in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
