CREW Network members – don’t miss this timely topic

Opportunity Zones were created through The U.S. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 signed into law on Dec. 22, 2017. The program is designed to provide tax incentives to investors who fund businesses in underserved communities. Investors are able to defer paying taxes on capital gains that are invested in Qualified Opportunity Funds that in turn are invested in distressed communities designated as Opportunity Zones by the governor of each U.S. state.

This CREW Network members-only webinar will explain:

  • what Opportunity Zones are

  • where the Opportunity Zones are located via a real-time map

  • who qualifies

  • what type of properties qualify

  • who is eligible to invest in these designated zones

  • what to do if a property you own or represent is in an opportunity zone

Lawmakers hope that investing in Opportunity Zones will create jobs, kick start economic growth and improve communities overall. This is a unique opportunity for commercial real estate investors.
