Mitchell E. Rudin
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Savills North America

Mitchell Rudin

Mitch joined Savills North America as President in 2019 and was appointed Chairman and CEO July 2020, bringing more than 30 years of outstanding leadership in the commercial real estate industry. Notwithstanding the market and pandemic related challenges during his tenure as CEO, Savills has expanded its capabilities through a series of strategic hires, acquisitions and partnerships while increasing its headcount.

Mitch has served in a CEO capacity at three major real estate firms over his distinguished career. Before Savills, he held successful tenures as CEO at Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, CEO and President of US Commercial Operations at Brookfield Office Properties, and CEO and President of CBRE’s NY Tri-State Region. In each capacity, he enhanced operations, grew services and increased revenues and profits. Mitch has one of the longest commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the real estate industry. He has built diverse leadership teams, facilitated or served as executive sponsor for several women’s networks, and co-founded CBRE’s African American Network Group, which established the Mitchell E. Rudin Diversity Award in his honor.

As a long-time advocate and leader in the space, Mitch made DEI a top priority at Savills. Since being appointed to his role, he has emphasized recruiting, retaining and advancing multicultural talent, and doubled down on the firm’s commitment to foster an increasingly diverse workforce through programming, training, communications, partnerships, philanthropy, and service in the communities Savills operates.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Mitch is a member of the NYC Police Foundation executive committee, Bank of America New York Private Wealth Management Advisory Committee and Governor of the Urban Land Institute. He is also a national council member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), where he served as NY Real Estate Chair for two years. In addition, Mitch serves on the board for NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, the Police Athletic League and St. Francis Friends of the Poor. He has been awarded Person of the Year honors from 10 organizations, including Mt. Vernon Boys & Girls Club, AHRC New York City, Police Athletic League, and, most recently, Israel Bonds. Mitch was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, received his J.D. at Boston College Law School, and attended executive leadership programs at both Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School.
