Las Vegas is rolling out the red carpet for the commercial real estate industry’s premier business networking event in the City of Lights. Members are eager to reconnect and forge new connections during three invigorating days together at the 2021 CREW Network Convention, Sept. 28-30. The thoughtfully cultivated agenda includes the stellar programming that CREW members expect and value.
CREW Las Vegas has been planning for our visit for several years and has adeptly pivoted throughout the past 18 months to ensure that a successful experience is available and enjoyable for all. Recognizing that there is some trepidation regarding travel, CREW Network has worked collaboratively with The Mirage, a premier resort property on the Las Vegas Strip recognized for its erupting volcano and other special features, to plan for the safest visit possible. The Mirage has implemented wide-ranging cleaning protocols for the entire property, as well as strategically utilizing conference space to ensure social distancing for our event.

To provide hospitality for the event, CREW Las Vegas formed a committee comprised of past presidents with significant convention experience. CREW Las Vegas President Samantha Flaherty of Encore Landscape Management shared her favorite “don’t miss” features of the 2021 convention, including Learning Excursions (such as the amazing BORING tunnel which will dramatically reduce travel time), the NetWalk/NetRun to see fun scenery and The Strip at sunrise, as well as Dine Arounds. CREW Las Vegas has selected several delicious options which showcase true Las Vegas and provide fun, unique dining experiences.
Widely recognized as the Entertainment Capital of the World, Flaherty encourages CREW Network members to extend their visit, perhaps staying for the weekend before or after Convention, to catch a show and go to AREA 15 for an immersive retail experience, including virtual reality, axe throwing and artist groups. “Our board, convention planning committee and chapter members are very excited to welcome CREW Network to Las Vegas!” Be sure to stop by the hospitality table where you will find CREW Las Vegas chapter members for activity ideas.
The agenda is full of exceptional speakers, including Linda Alvarado, founder and owner, Alvarado Construction, and the first Latino owner (male or female) of a MLB franchise, the Colorado Rockies; Mauro Guillen, business economist, sociologist and author, incoming dean – Judge Business School, University of Cambridge; and Sarah Thomas, the first female NFL referee and official.

The convention will also feature peer exchanges focused on various sectors of commercial real estate, including last mile logistics/flex/industrial and office/mixed-use, providing opportunities for members who specialize in these markets to collaborate. As always, there will be abundant opportunities to network, including at the convention kickoff at the marketplace, and informal meet-ups at CREW Coffee Talks, which are attendee favorites. In case you need a refresher, this highlight reel of the 2019 Convention reminds us why it’s so valuable to be together.
For those unable to travel to Las Vegas, there is a robust virtual experience via CREW Network’s digital platform. The platform was a highly effective in ensuring member participation and engagement for the Spring Leadership Summit.
Whether in-person or virtual, investing in the CREW Network Convention ensures you will strengthen your professional skills, expand your network, find new business opportunities and learn about the latest trends in our industry.
