Lessons and inspiration from a solo row across the ocean 

Debra Searle is a professional adventurer and entrepreneur. She is best known for having rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean, for which she was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) from Her Majesty The Queen and a place on the board of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Her expeditions have taken her across the Atlantic, around Antarctica, the Arctic Circle and everywhere in between. 

Debra was also the co-founder of the Women’s Business Network Forum, based out of Buckingham Palace. The movie of Debra’s solo row across the Atlantic Ocean is currently in development in Hollywood. 

She is the Co-Founder of MIX Diversity Developers, and her DEI work led her to being nominated for the European Diversity Awards ‘Inspirational Role Model of the Year.’ 

A world-class communicator, Debra was trained by the BBC and has presented over 40 programs for them. She has also published three books. 

Debra will join this global CREW Network-hosted event live to share her experiences and ways to stay motivated, build resilience, and celebrate your strengths and successes. This International Women’s Day event is complimentary and open to all.
