For over 30 years, Atlanta accounting firm Moore Colson was located in an office park in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, Georgia. The office layout was closed off, had few windows, lacked natural light and employees were spread out over multiple floors. The firm began searching for a more modern office space with function, aesthetics, collaboration and future growth in mind.
CREW Atlanta’s Monica Flocken, Leasing Agent with Childress Klein, represented 600 Galleria, an 18-story building on the northwest side of Atlanta that met all of Moore Colson’s relocation requirements. Moore Colson chose the sixth floor at 600 Galleria, with 31,000 square feet of office space and accommodations for 167 employees, as its new home.
CREW Atlanta President-Elect Jodi Borges-Bradley, now Managing Director with IA Interior Architects, led the Nelson design team that brought Moore Colson’s new space to life. The firm’s branding colors run throughout the entire office, and the spacious layout allows all of Moore Colson’s employees to work on the same floor. This provided employees easier access to team members and has increased collaboration.
Marcia Nally, Moore Colson’s Real Estate Practice Tax Director and fellow CREW Atlanta member, is thrilled about the firm’s move and the team of CREW members that made it possible.
“We are extremely proud of the new location and the amazing job done by all involved,” Nally said. “The new space gives us the flexibility to accommodate our continuous growth, and we are looking forward to spending many years here.”
The project was awarded CREW Atlanta’s Business Impact Award in 2018. Borges-Bradley credits strong communication as the reason for the project’s success.
“Being a part of creating the vision for Moore Colson’s relocation and firm connectivity goals was an amazing experience,” Borges-Bradley said. “The partnership between vision, design and execution led each phase of focus. Constant communication with the key decision makers set the tone for the project’s success at move-in and for numerous years ahead.”
