CATIC Family of Companies

catic logoOUR VISION

CATIC’s senior leadership team continues to be committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) across the organization in various ways and fully acknowledges the need to engage both internal and external constituents to help build better communities for all.  Throughout the 2024 fiscal year, the company continued to identify and implement various ways to effectively cultivate and sustain a truly inclusive workplace for women, people of color and all underrepresented groups at CATIC.

OUR MISSION

We firmly believe that by thoughtfully employing a deliberate strategic effort over time, we will be able to successfully advance diversity, equity and inclusion in a meaningful way, while continuing to make a real difference in the various communities that we serve every day.  Therefore, we will continue to effectively apply the following strategic framework to drive our corporate social justice efforts:

  • Step 1: Lead with Purpose & Personal Conviction

  • Step 2: Build Genuine Connections

  • Step 3: Take Deliberate Strategic Actions

  • Step 4: Activate New Community Engagements

In 2022, the company launched the Women of Color in Title (WOCIT) affinity group, which was designed to create a safe space for women of color to network and advocate for one another.  In 2024, a cross-functional group of women leaders came together to develop and launch the Women in Leadership Program (WLP), which is designed to help address the unique challenges women may encounter in the workplace and to enhance their overall employee experience at CATIC. The program aspires to provide practical strategies that will encourage and help women overcome various barriers often experienced at work while pursuing their respective career goals. The key strategic objectives of the program are as follows:

  • Create a safe place for women to share professional experiences and advocate for each other.

  • Create networking opportunities to connect people and communities to the mission.

  • Cultivate a shared learning environment to openly discuss new ideas and share insightful industry information with one another.

  • Promote professional development opportunities through mentoring, internships, job shadowing and job skills training.

The overall purpose of this career development program is to empower emerging women leaders, as well as help participants build a strong professional network. Several desired outcomes of the program will include the following (C.A.R.E.):

  • Connections: Cultivating strategic partnerships in the community to help advance the mission.

  • Advocacy: Thoughtfully building women up through targeted skill development and sponsorship.

  • Recognition: Regularly acknowledging and celebrating the various contributions and achievements of women.

  • Exposure: Openly sharing various career paths and diverse experiences in the title industry.

Additionally, the company continues to leverage CATIC Academy to provide community education and outreach to help promote meaningful conversations regarding topics of interest for women in the workplace.  Examples include hosting International Women’s Day webinars and launching a video series promoting the value of Allyship in the workplace.

CATIC is proud to continue its commitment to the CREW Network CRE Pledge for Action and firmly believes that we will make meaningful and sustainable progress towards achieving each of these strategic objectives over time. For instance:

  • Continue to successfully recruit, develop, advance and retain women in impactful roles across the organization, including various leadership positions.

  • Engage a third-party vendor to conduct a comprehensive pay equity analysis.

  • Continue to promote and/or sponsor CREW Network events amongst our staff throughout the year.

  • Continue to create new opportunities for both women and people of color for increased exposure to senior management and the board of directors.

By doing so, we will strive to continue doing our part to help build better communities by promoting fair and equitable treatment for all.
