CREW New York Members Begin 2024 with $5.3M Single Tenant Net Lease Deal

Two CREW New York members successfully collaborated to help a high net worth family sell three single tenant net lease assets, with the final sale concluding in January 2024.

Amit Egan-Datwani, founder and chief consultant, Global Consulting Organization, selected Camille Renshaw, founder, B+E Net Lease to assist in selling assets from a U.K. family in the deal. The goal was to sell three single tenant net lease assets. Renshaw was the ideal candidate as a collaborator due to B+E Net Lease’s specialty in the single tenant net lease world.

The members emphasized the importance their relationship played in overcoming the challenges in this $5.3 million USD deal. The CREW New York team faced several obstacles during their deal including skyrocketing interest rates. Egan-Datwani stated that communication was key in quickly resolving any problems that came along the way.

“The foundation of familiarity and trust that Camille & I had built up through CREW New York, prior to us formally working together, helped us navigate the rocky market that saw five interest rate raises over the life of the transaction,” Egan-Datwani said.

Egan-Datwani discussed how his interactions with CREW New York members were different than other interactions he’s had in previous business relationships with males. CREW Network is dedicated to advancing business networking with women. He explains, “The general thought process in most male relationships is to only make that effort to build familiarity and trust once we are doing business together.”

Egan-Datwani and Renshaw successfully finalized the sale with their client mid-January after facing several challenges.

“Establishing a sense of comfort and trust with the other individual will help for those inevitable times when the seas get choppy,” Datwani said. “A strong relationship will be key to help navigate through the eye of the storm.”
