Virginia Weida

Director (2026-2027)

Virginia Weida is CEO & Founder of Virginia Weida Designs, established in 2006. She is an entrepreneurial creative, trained and certified as an Interior Designer, Certified Facility Manager (RCFM), and LEED Certified Professional. Virginia specializes in workplace strategy, design, and project management in the greater Pittsburgh region. She has designed and/or managed over $13 million in renovation projects exceeding 900,000 square feet in the past two years. She provides top-notch client experience to some of the largest CRE companies, such as Colliers, JLL, NAI, CBRE, and Cushman & Wakefield, for projects across multiple states and diverse sectors.

Virginia has always committed to making a social impact through volunteering with national organizations, advocating for her profession, supporting local communities and small businesses, and uplifting women. She joined CREW Pittsburgh in 2004 and served three terms on the board, including two terms as Chapter President. Nationally, she served on the CREW Network Communications and Editorial Committee, the Education Advisory Group, the CREW Network Foundation Board as Alternate in 2023, and as CREW Foundation Chapter Champion in 2024. Virginia also completed the CREW Network Leadership Certificate Program in 2022. Beyond CREW, her national volunteer experience includes chairing the ASID Advocate by Design (AxD) Council in 2023, leading over 35 volunteers across seven subcommittees nationwide. She was also an adjunct faculty member in interior design for 12 years and continues to mentor and attend critiques.

Virginia was named the 2024 ASID Advocate of the Year and an ALM|GlobeSt. Woman of Influence 2024 in the Independent Professional category. She was elected an ASID Fellow, the Society’s highest honor, in 2025 for notable and outstanding contributions to the interior design profession. Virginia is also a published author, appearing in Amazon bestsellers “Steps to Success: One Aha Moment at a Time” anthology and in her first solo book, "From Underdog to Winning Bitch: My Dachshund's Lessons For Overcoming Obstacles". She enjoys speaking to groups about design and personal empowerment topics.

Virginia received her BS in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell. She resides in Pittsburgh, PA, with her husband, Sean, and their two dachshunds. She is passionate about spending time with her family and her two grown daughters, Jillian and Natalie. Virginia is also an avid canine sports competitor and enjoys traveling, wine tasting, reading, music, and the arts.
