Leading with Purpose: Our Commitment to Women and Innovation in Commercial Real Estate

First American Title

First American Title has built its business on expertise, forward-thinking solutions, and a belief that people power progress. That belief has shaped the company’s approach and drives its commitment to inclusion and innovation.

One expression of that commitment is the Women in Leadership program, a cornerstone of First American’s ‘People First’ culture. The program has helped strengthen the company’s leadership pipeline and expand opportunities across the organization. Over 100 women have graduated from the program, and over 45 percent have earned promotions. The program reflects a broader cultural commitment that has earned First American consistent recognition as a top workplace.

First American has been recognized as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® ten years in a row and one of the Best Workplaces for Women™ for eight consecutive years. Women comprise 67 percent of the company’s workforce today, a testament to its strong and consistent focus on inclusion.

That support extends to women at all stages of their careers. The Spark leadership program equips early-career women with key skills to advance professionally. Participants take part in a series of interactive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and practical leadership exercises designed to build confidence and strengthen core leadership behaviors.

In addition, the Women Empowered (WE) Employee Resource Group fosters a community focused on personal and professional growth for women across the company, creating a space for meaningful connections, shared experiences, and continued learning.

First American’s investment in innovation is as robust. One of the company’s most impactful initiatives is ClarityFirst®, an end-to-end digital solution for commercial transactions designed to deliver greater speed, certainty, and simplicity.

As the company's president, Sally French Tyler has played a key role in shaping many of these efforts. A long-standing advocate for women in real estate, she co-founded the Women in Leadership program and continues to guide initiatives that support progress across the industry. In recognition of her impact, she was inducted into the CREW Network Circle of Excellence. Her influence continues to guide the company’s direction and strengthen its culture.

As First American’s commercial business has grown, the company has built a national platform to support complex, high-value transactions, offering both local knowledge and centralized expertise.

First American’s story is one of progress, driven by people, powered by ideas, and focused on creating a more inclusive future for commercial real estate.
