Redgate’s Unwavering Commitment to Women and DEI
Redgate Real Estate Advisors | June 21, 2023
Our unwavering commitment to the CREW Network pledge and its mission to push for gender equity and greater diversity in commercial real estate continues through our purposeful advancement and recruitment of talented women in senior leadership roles. This comes with strategic hiring and promotions over the last 9 months, resulting in women holding 35% of all senior leadership positions at Redgate. This includes the hiring of women in key roles including the company’s first Chief Financial Officer and Senior Director of HR and Culture, adding a Senior Vice President in Higher Education, and a key promotion to Executive Vice President leading Redgate’s Institutional Services.
Redgate women in senior leadership roles include:
Laura Gregoriadis – Chief Financial Officer
Kristi Dowd – Executive Vice President, Institutional Services Lead
Linda Swain – Executive Vice President, Marketing
Sharon Lavery – Senior Director of Human Resources & Culture
Lizbeth Bello – Senior Vice President
Katie Hearn – Senior Vice President
Karen Cutone – Senior Vice President
Amanda Keefe – Vice President, Investor Services Co-Lead
Recognizing the importance of gender diversity, we are dedicated to elevating women through our Learning and Development Program, to develop women in all roles. For example, we are currently sponsoring Amanda Keefe in the Boston’s Future Leaders Program through the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, which provides leaders with a socially conscious and civically engaged leadership toolkit that enables graduates to lead Boston and the region into an equitable, innovative future.
We have expanded DEI initiatives by developing our talent strategy to focus on hiring more diverse candidates. We engage with Builders of Color Coalition to increase our diverse candidate pool. We are also building relationships with universities and colleges with diverse populations. This broadens our recruiting efforts and further extends our reach with our internship program.
We continue our support of organizations such as Next One Up, which aims to transform the lives of young men in Baltimore City through long-term mentoring. Our support is provided through board participation, donorship, and mentoring and hiring individuals from the program.
We hosted our first Redgate Inclusive Partnering Event with a group of MBE and WBE firms for the purpose of increasing our pipeline of diverse partners to engage on our real estate development projects.
